Refund policy
This policy explains when a refund is issued, how the refund is returned, and how long it takes to reach the original payment method.
Last updated 16 April 2026
Who this policy applies to
This is the refund policy of Muaythai Dot Tickets Company Limited, the merchant of record for every ticket sold on muaythai.tickets. Refunds are issued by the platform, not by the event organizer.
The Cancellation Policy at /cancellation-policy defines whether an order can be cancelled. This page defines what happens to the money after a cancellation or refund trigger is confirmed.
When a refund is issued
You are entitled to a refund when you cancel inside the allowed window, when the organizer cancels the event, when the event is materially changed and you opt out inside the stated window, when a duplicate charge is confirmed, or when a verified payment processing error occurs.
Lineup changes, running-order changes, or other organizer-side event changes are not automatically refundable unless the organizer separately cancels the event or the change meets the material-change standard in the Cancellation Policy.
If the organizer cancels the event entirely, every affected ticket is refunded in full. If the event changes in a material way, we email the affected buyers and give them a refund option under the Cancellation Policy.
Refund amount
Buyer-initiated cancellations inside the allowed window refund the ticket face value in full. Organizer cancellations, material changes, duplicate charges, and processing errors refund the full amount you paid, including the platform service fee and all taxes.
If a multi-ticket order is partially cancelled, we refund the cancelled tickets only. The service fee is refunded in full when the event itself is cancelled by the organizer.
Refund method
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. We cannot send a refund to a different card, bank account, or PromptPay ID than the one used to pay.
Card payments are refunded to the same card used at checkout. PromptPay charges cannot be reversed through the payment network, so qualifying PromptPay refunds are processed as a manual bank transfer back to the account linked to the PromptPay ID used to pay.
If you paid by PromptPay and qualify for a refund, we may ask you to confirm the Thai bank account details that match the PromptPay ID used to pay so we can complete the transfer.
Refund timeline
- Credit or debit card: 5 to 14 business days, typically in your next card statement cycle.
- JCB, AMEX, Diners: up to 14 business days, within Omise's refund window.
- PromptPay manual bank transfer: 3 to 7 business days after account verification.
We initiate card refunds through Omise within 3 business days of approving the refund. After that, settlement timing depends on your bank.
Card refunds must be issued within Omise's card refund window. PromptPay refunds are handled as manual bank transfers and usually reach you within 3 to 7 business days after account verification.
Non-refundable scenarios
- The event has already taken place.
- Your ticket has already been scanned at the venue.
- You did not show up and the event went ahead as scheduled.
- You bought the ticket outside muaythai.tickets.
- The event page marked the ticket class as non-refundable at time of purchase.
- A lineup or running-order change does not meet the refund trigger described above.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address you used at checkout and include your order reference and the reason for the refund request. We reply within 24 business hours.
If you paid by PromptPay and qualify for a refund, include the Thai bank account details that match the PromptPay ID used to pay.
Chargebacks and disputes
If something has gone wrong with your order, email us first. In most cases we can resolve it faster than your card issuer can. If you do file a chargeback, we cooperate fully with your bank and with Omise.
The merchant name on your card statement is MUAYTHAI TICKETS or MUAYTHAI DOT TICKETS CO LTD. If you do not recognize a charge under that name, contact us before filing a dispute.
Data retention
Refunded order data, including bank account details collected for PromptPay manual refunds, is retained for 7 years under Thai tax law. After 7 years, personally identifiable information is pseudonymised while ledger entries remain intact for accounting integrity.
